About Arrow Academy

We began Arrow Academy with the express wish of introducing more people to the sport we love, archery. Every day we strive to instruct and teach to the best of our abilities, providing athletes and hobbyists with opportunities to grow and shine every step of the way. We hope you’ll come join us on the range!

Our home range is located at 631 Colby Drive, Waterloo. We have a minimum participation age of 8.

Our Coaches

  • Lily Tiffin

    Intermediate Certified NCCP Instructor

Lily has been working as an archery coach for over three years, and shooting for eight. She began her competitive career at age 13, winning multiple national titles over the next few years; most recently being a bronze at the 2022 Canadian Nationals. She was a member of the Junior National Team for the 2021/2022 season. She currently holds an Intermediate Instruction NCCP Certification, and works for Archery Canada as a coach with the Archery Canada Centre of Excellence (ACCE) High Performance Program.

  • Emilio Verdugo-Paredes

    Intermediate Certified NCCP Instructor

Emilio started shooting in 2008, after learning of the sport through watching the Beijing Olympics. Shortly afterwards he began competing, winning medals at Canadian and USA national events. He also trained for two years in South Korea, the world leader in Olympic recurve performance. Emilio apprenticed under the former Canadian national coach, and he currently holds an Intermediate Instruction NCCP certification with over ten years of coaching experience. He also works for Archery Canada as a coach with the Archery Canada Centre of Excellence (ACCE) High Performance Program.

  • Reece Wilson-Poyton

    Beginner Trained NCCP Instructor

Reece has been doing archery since 2015, after spectating at the Pan Am Games held in Toronto that year. He began competing in 2016 and coaching later that year. Alongside being an archery instructor, Reece is a current member of Archery Canada’s National Squad, having competed with success all over Canada and the U.S. Although Reece is actively training for his competitive career, being an instructor is a great way to focus on instructing people fresh to archery and growing the sport. He is currently trained for NCCP Beginner Instruction.
